County Road 170 Improvements
As prime consultant, Baker-Aicklen is providing professional engineering and surveying services for the development of PS&E to reconstruct approximately 1 mile of CR 170 from SH 45 to the Williamson | Travis County line. The existing roadway is a two-lane facility which will be upgraded to a four-lane divided roadway with raised medians and enclosed storm sewer systems. The project limits reside within the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone and will require coordination with TCEQ to discuss project scope, expected pollutant loading rates, appropriate permanent controls to meet the water quality requirements of the design drainage area and the development of a water pollution abatement plan (WPAP).
The project scope includes surveying, surface and subsurface utility locates, preliminary and final design of roadway geometrics, right-of-way and utility coordination, urban storm sewer design, permanent structural water quality and detention controls, culvert analyses and design at intersecting streets, signing and pavement marking plans, storm water pollution prevention plans, traffic control plans and construction sequencing, and utility layouts.
